Provide Quality Control Inspection support for Honeywell Engineering Laboratory Quality Team while partnering with manufacturing teams and leaders. You will ensure that quality is being maintained in all factors involved in Qualification/Certification/Development. Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

As the ODA UM, you will be required to visually and or dimensionally inspect aero products to ensure conformity to Type Design, issue Airworthiness Certifications, export product and comply with all requirements, attend and maintain FAA certification requirements and HON quality standards.

  • Be part of the Quality Team and FAA ODA Authorization; must hold current ODA Certification Authorization and the ability to gain any additional ODA function codes as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvements in support of Honeywell Quality Control Inspection and Honeywell Operating System.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that help deliver the best timely solutions resulting in the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and verify quality requirements are fully met
  • Generate reports as part of FAA conformities
  • Record observations
  • Perform conformity inspections of both full engines and piece parts
  • Perform test set up inspections against engineering and FAA requirements
  • Conform to specifications
  • Troubleshoot quality issues
  • Collaborate and coach others
  • Recommend improvements

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or Higher, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen or lawful permanent resident due to ITAR restrictions
  • Must hold current ODA certification

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Proficient use in software programs such as Microsoft Office
  • Good analytical and creative problem-solving skill
  • Ability to read technical data and specifications
  • Experience in qualification testing requirements and setup
  • Ability to use tools and techniques to perform inspections
  • Test setup function codes preferred
  • ODA certification which includes “test setup conformity” function codes
  • Extensive Quality inspection experience
