Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking a Sr. Materials Engineer/Scientist for our Golden Valley, MN or Broomfield, CO
Are you ready to help us make the future?
YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Partnering with technicians to optimize and standardize analytical methods
  • Prototyping / Research and Development of next generation heat exchanger technology
  • Providing program support in the form of design review, material and process selection, review of engineering drawings, and completing customer deliverables
  • Development and analysis of powder metallurgical processes
  • Leading the development of design of experiments (DOEs) for process development

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science or Engineering
  • 2 years of experience with materials research, design, analysis, and experimentation
  • U.S. citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain government security clearance

WE VALUE:

  • Experience developing tests, test setups, and experiments with the needed instrumentation, hardware, and software focused on industry, military, and aerospace specifications
  • Experience transitioning components and processes from research and development to manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience with sinter processes and techniques, with an understanding of the impact of parameters
  • Passion for a hands-on career in a powder metallurgy laboratory
  • Experience developing new technologies and generating IP through R&D
  • Ph.D in Materials Science, Engineering, or related field with materials focus
  • Material and process characterization such as adsorption testing, chemical analysis, and mechanical testing
  • Demonstrated teamwork with a focus on experimental results
