Position Summary:
Amkor Technology, Inc. is seeking to hire an experienced professional to collaborate with Amkor organizations worldwide and help meet legal and stakeholder requirements relating to Global Trade Compliance. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President and Corporate Counsel for commercial transactions. This position is based out of the Amkor corporate office in Tempe, AZ. (The other Amkor offices can be considered.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee processes to ensure compliance with U.S. and international import/export laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Address sanction and export control requests and inquiries from external and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews of company export/re-export and technology control activities.
  • Maintain and continuously improve trade compliance policies and procedures, training and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain ITAR registration with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
  • Perform functional manager duties working as an individual contributor.
  • Manage screening and diligence programs to ensure compliance with various trade and economic sanctions and embargoes.
  • Some other duties may be assigned.
  • Respond to dynamic changes in trade control regulations.
  • Provide trade compliance training and guidance to U.S. team and local factory export teams in Asia and Europe.

Required Qualifications:
• At least 7 years' experience as an international trade professional.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and maintain attention to detail.
  • Cultural sensitivity; prior experience in a multinational company is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work as necessary to meet the demands of the role.
  • Sound and practical business judgment.
  • Ability to navigate a decentralized and fast paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Production driven; must be able to work quickly and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in anticipating potential stakeholder needs.
  • Eagerness for learning new areas and expanding skill sets.
  • Works well within a team and can build productive relationships to achieve results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with all levels of an organization; a sense of humor is important.
  • Flexibility, responsiveness, and willingness to take on assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Fluency in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Malay, or Portuguese.
  • Experience working in the semiconductor industry supply chain strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using SAP Enterprise Resource Planning.
  • Experience working with U.S. re-export controls, foreign direct product rules and technology controls preferred.
  • Experience with regulators on international trade compliance matters.
  • Post Graduate Degree.

Location:
Tempe, AZ. This position has a hybrid schedule. Candidates must reside near the local Amkor office or be willing to relocate to be considered.
