Facilitate the creation and governance of technology and cybersecurity standards for the protection of computer networks and information. Work with IT Governance Leader and IT Risk and Controls team to assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and ensure policy and standard requirements are aligned to the governance framework. Partner with standard owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather standard requirements. Create, adapt, and follow project schedules and deadlines with the ability to identify, apprise management of, and shift competing priorities as needed. Monitor compliance deadlines and assess compliance readiness. Perform quality checks of materials submitted for Standard Governance Advisory and Executive committees managed by the SGO to ensure a thorough understanding of the purpose, audience, process, and documentation required by the committees, and incorporate requirements into the SGO process. Partner with First Line Risk Management Office (1RMO) to ensure SGO complies with enterprise governance requirements as needed. Assist with maintaining a standard in the GRC system of record (SOR).

Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Engineering (any), or related field. Requires 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Corporate Risk Management Audits; Industry recognized security frameworks and standards (ITIL); Cybersecurity and Technology Operations core technologies (McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)); Endpoint device and OS lifecycle and infrastructure management; Enterprise Software Distribution, Patch Management, OS Deployment and License Management, Active Directory, and SQL Server Management; Change, Incident and Problem Management; and Virtualization and Cloud Technologies.
