About the Role:

The Sr. Graphic Designer manages the Custom Cones USA brand and touches every aspect of design across the entire company. You will work in close collaboration with our Sales and Product teams on any creative visuals and assets for our website, internal brands, sales materials, clients design projects, and internal team resources. You will also be involved in product photography and web design, UX, packaging design, and print design. You will work hands-on across many projects, but will also have help from and lead a team of 2 full-time design assistants.

The Sr. Graphic Designer is a creative storyteller and in charge of the ideation and design of Custom Cones USA’s visual brand across its multiple marketing platforms, as well as 3 internal brands. No piece of marketing collateral gets published without the Sr. Graphic Designer’s stamp of approval. Website pages, banners, custom packaging designs, product photos, email and internal templates, marketing materials, and even trade show booth designs — the Sr. Graphic Designer ensures visuals support the messaging of any piece of content.

You will have the support of our eCommerce Manager, Web Developer, Videographer, and Copywriter, as well as the 2 full-time design assistants.

As Sr. Graphic Designer, you must have an excellent ‘design eye’ and extensive experience in the major design tools. You need to understand digital marketing methodologies from which you can actively participate in strategic marketing brainstorming sessions. We sell a lot of custom packaging, so you will be working on internal branded designs, as well as work with customers on their own custom packaging designs.

To thrive in this role, you need to be an excellent communicator and able to manage your time and creativity well amid last-minute urgent projects. The Sr. Graphic designer is able to easily delegate and provide feedback to the 2 design assistants to drive multiple projects to completion at once. This position reports directly to the founders of the company and is an amazing opportunity for growth and advancement.

What you will be doing:

• Oversee the Junior Graphic Designer, his/her task pipeline, and ensure work is done on time and within brand standards
• Design all digital and print materials - catalogs, flyers, email templates
• Ongoing version control of previously published collateral to ensure all created content is up to date and available to the organization
• Collaborate with marketing team members on developing visual brands for new products lines and brands
• Continuously evaluate and evolve Custom Cones USA’s corporate brand and establish creative direction for the company as well as the brand guidelines
• Lead or assist with all product and lifestyle photography
• Design both internal and external custom packaging designs - must be confident in working with die-lines
• Design new website pages, UI/UX, and other website assets
• Ideate, create, and approve assets for all on and offline marketing assets, sales collateral, company events, and other content

Qualifications:

• Packaging, brand identity, and logo design
• Excellent communication skills, both in giving and receiving feedback as well as in asking the right questions to understand what the client wants for custom packaging design projects
• Management experience with other designers
• 5+ years of proven experience in graphic design
• Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign
• Excellent time-management skills
• Experience editing die-lines and working with printers
• Photography and photo editing skills
• Able to manage deadlines and communicate clearly when priorities shift
