The Sr. Factory Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the engineering activities relating to the factory such that employee health and safety, product safety and the protection of the environment are never compromised and that all engineering activities enhance product quality, plant performance and the business objectives. This position is also responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic vision of the factory in areas of manufacturing reliability. The Sr. Factory Engineering Manager is a key member of the factory management team.


Responsibilities
  • Propose and implement work processes, procedures and technical resources related to Factory Engineering.
  • Planning and managing all approved capital projects
  • Propose and control the Factory Engineering budget as well as the factory's capital investment plans and related capital expenditures.
  • Equipment Bill of Material (BOM)
  • Define, propose and monitor the implementation of the Factory Engineering teams plans and objectives in accordance with the Engineering Policy, Key Principles and the Key Engineering Activities as outlined in the Nestlé Engineering Excellence (NEE) master document.
  • Drive the implementation of Maintenance Best Practices:
  • Initiate and coordinate the implementation of new processes/technologies with local, market, PTC, CTU and SBU engineering.
  • Work Order Management and Labor Hour allocation
  • Optimize Predictive Maintenance technologies (Condition Monitoring and inspections) to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Demonstrate and promote the company's values within the Factory Engineering team.
  • Contributing toward the Strategic and Tactical Leadership of the factory and division as a whole.
  • Lead and coordinate the Factory Engineering team and maintain competencies, motivation and performance to achieve the teams mission and objectives.
  • Utilise Planned Downtime for Scheduled and Condition-Based Maintenance
  • Technical Stores Management
  • Ensure implementation of Asset Maintenance Management as Factory Maintenance System:
  • Propose and monitor Factory Engineering in accordance with the key performance indicators.


Requirements
  • Industrial Services and Energy Management (NEMT).
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills – ability to balance and prioritize several projects simultaneously.
  • Operation of utilities.
  • Maintenance technologies.
  • Heat exchanger systems & Ammonia knowledge
  • Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering (OSH&R).
  • (BA/BS) in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, Process or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years related work experience.
  • Understanding of financial analysis and relevant business drivers.
  • Able to apply root cause problem solving and technical creativity to systemically resolve complex short term and long term issues and opportunities.
  • Asset and Maintenance Management (AMM).
  • CAPEX budgeting and preparation (CIAT).
  • In-depth knowledge of food processing plant and technology:
  • Ability to perform under pressure and in ambiguous situations.
