Senior Director Patient Safety
Directs activities related to patients' safety, complaints, and grievances to ensure alignment with the mission, vision, values, and objectives of the department and organization.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days
Responsibilities:
Develops and implements departmental goals, nurse triage protocols, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Works with leaders in Quality, Safety and Risk Management, Pharmacy, Regulatory, Infection Prevention, Operational Intelligence and with provider leadership to set and implement the strategy and goals for patient safety efforts across UCHealth.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.

• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree. BSN preferred.
• Minimum Experience: 5 years of relevant experience.

The pay range for this position is: $69.65 - $111.44 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
