Aquent Studios x Adobe is a custom-built creative agency partnership that provides
scalability with world-class talent to Adobe’s in-house studio and web team. This
collaboration creates exciting opportunities to work with Aquent Studios and impact
millions of customers, showcasing Adobe’s products via innovative storytelling and
unique visual experiences.
We’re looking for a Sr. Copywriter to join the Aquent Studios team and transform messaging
into clear and engaging copy that drives acquisition, supports retention, and aligns with brand
guidelines for voice and tone. This role will focus on cross-platform marketing campaign
creation, in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary Studio team, to execute against strategy. You
are able to present work to diverse stakeholder teams with confidence. Copywriters play a vital
role in ensuring that the specific goals of communications are realized while telling the
company’s story with their uniquely human brand personality and voice.
What you need to succeed:
● 5+ years working in the discipline as part of a creative agency or corporate in-house
team
● Direct copy creation experience for brand marketing campaigns, brand development,
advertising, and other media across channels
● Ability to collaborate with business units, marketing teams, and larger Studio team
closely
● Willingness to constructively receive, weigh, and integrate diverse feedback
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and collaboratively
● Ability to present copy in a clear, confident, professional, and cogent manner
● Ability to explain rationale for copy decisions to a broad audience
● Awareness of industry trends, and ability to incorporate new techniques and trends
● Willingness to proactively identify issues and propose solutions
Proven ability to drive copywriting process and outcomes collaboratively
● Ability to play a central role within the team as a driver for content strategy, copy
development, and general excellence.
● Experience reviewing, critiquing, and guiding the work of other copywriters and outside
agencies
● Commitment to maintaining open communication and close collaboration with senior-
level teammates, fellow Studio team members, and stakeholders throughout creative
processes and outcomes
● Willingness to seek out ways to develop, create, and promote new initiatives
EXPECTATIONS
Writing proficiency and clarity
Above all, copywriters must transform messaging into stylish, economical copy that promotes
engagement and drives acquisition and retention. This requires creativity, a deep understanding
of the conventions of grammar, and the ability to find multiple written solutions that clearly serve
the strategic goals of a single communication or entire campaign.
Collaboration and communication skills
Copywriters must present, defend, and discuss verbal and visual ideas with fluency and
confidence. Copywriting also requires collaboration with designers to arrive at solutions that
best serve the constraints of design as well as copy.
Problem-solving ability
The development of any customer-facing communication contains unique and complex
challenges. Selecting the best headline, body copy, and other written components of a
deliverable involves everything from a deep knowledge of the audience to an awareness of
hierarchical considerations in a brief. Problem solving to meet business objectives while serving
larger brand goals is fundamental to the copywriter’s role.
Brand knowledge
The Adobe brand is recognized and admired around the world. Maintaining its reputation and
integrity depends on adherence to Adobe brand guidelines, particularly a nuanced
understanding of the precepts of Adobe voice and style.
Aesthetic sensibility
While technological advancements have changed advertising and communication dramatically
in recent decades, the central role copywriters play in audience engagement has not.
Recognizing great ideas and executing so that copy is lively, effective, and tasteful remains
essential to writing for Adobe.
Compensation Range: $90-104k
The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location.
