The Opportunity

Our location in Temecula, CA, currently has an opportunity onsite for a Senior Buyer


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Responsible for developing and/or implementing/executing the strategy for assigned categories. Work intimately with customers, divisions and sites, in alignment with the "One Procurement" model. Provide superior levels of customer service and satisfaction while adhering to a strict standard of business ethics and integrity.

  • Responsible for purchasing the services and supplies necessary for the organisation's operations.
  • Activities include sourcing, evaluating and selecting suppliers and vendors, negotiating supply contracts, and monitoring the quality and timeliness of materials and services supplied.

Core Job Responsibilitites

  • Assess variety of supplier’s products to ensure they that they comply with specifications and meet the organization’s quality standards.
  • The Senior Buyer will identify, research, evaluate and suppliers that meet the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
  • Typically involved in large and/or more complex purchases and suppliers that have higher impact on the organization’s products, processes and budget.
  • Requires high degree of skills and independence in negotiation activities.
  • Evaluate complex sales and promotional campaigns to secure reduced prices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Minimum Education

  • CPSM certification desired
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience: Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, Business, or Financial Degrees.


Minimum Experience / Training Required

  • Excellent problem solving skills and Proficient in the use of spreadsheet programs.
  • Strong interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skills
  • 4-6 years of or Procurement experience.
  • Excellent people skills,
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Project management skills.
  • Functional experience.

The base pay for this position is $71,300.00 – $142,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
