Job Summary

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing solutions, and implementing system enhancements using Smartsheet. They collaborate with stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and translate them into effective Smartsheet configurations. This role requires strong analytical skills, Smartsheet expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and innovation.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Design and configure Smartsheet solutions, including creating templates, forms, and workflows, to streamline and optimize business operations.
• Analyze and understand business requirements, processes, and workflows to identify opportunities for system improvements and automation using Smartsheet.
• Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts, working closely with business users to validate system functionality, identify issues, and drive resolutions.
• Conduct data analysis and mapping to ensure accurate and seamless integration of data between Smartsheet and other business systems.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and new features of Smartsheet, and leverage that knowledge to continuously improve and enhance the organization's use of the platform.
• Proactively identify risks, challenges, and dependencies in system implementations, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and external vendors, to gather requirements, define system specifications, and ensure successful implementation and adoption of Smartsheet solutions.
• Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to business users, enabling them to effectively utilize Smartsheet and maximize its potential for their specific needs.

• Solid understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques, with the ability to effectively gather and document business requirements.
• Strong expertise in Smartsheet, including proficiency in configuring, customizing, and optimizing the platform to meet business requirements.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required. However, equivalent work experience and certifications may also be considered.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Strong understanding of business processes and workflows across different functional areas, along with the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
• 5+ years’ experience working as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in a senior or lead role, with a focus on system analysis, design, and implementation.
• In-depth knowledge and expertise in Smartsheet, including hands-on experience in configuring and customizing the platform to meet business requirements.
• Familiarity with system integration, data mapping, and working with APIs is a plus.
• Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, including the ability to manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources.
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Smartsheet Certification, are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as requirements gathering, process modeling, and solution design.
• Experience in conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), facilitating workshops, and providing training and support to business users.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Occasional travel involved to meet with stakeholders, attend meetings, or participate in training sessions.
• Exposed to a normal office environment, attached manufacturing warehouse.
