Job Description
Overview:
Internal Auditors ensure Company individuals, Departments, and contracted agencies that perform maintenance and/or maintenance services, perform those duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Perform various types of audits and investigations, to ensure compliance and safety in all aspects and in alignment with company policies and procedures. Findings will be recorded and conveyed for corrective action, including follow-up audits, as required.
  • Internal QA Auditors, in addition to performing internal audits of internal departments, paperwork audits on work packages, log pages, etc., will also support SRC Airworthiness Investigations as assigned by the Director, Supplier Quality & Investigations. Assigned investigation duties may include;
  • Perform assigned internal audits of Company Departments, for the purpose of confirming program compliance in accordance with Company policies.
  • Perform internal audits of work packages, log pages and/or other Company records.
  • Serves as a liaison with Technical Operations in the administration and promotion of the SMS program.
  • Performs Safety Risk Management (S.R.M.) processes, systematically applying management policies, procedures, and practices to the task of analyzing, evaluating, and controlling risks associated with the hazards inherent to aviation operations and under the Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Collaborates with maintenance partners (e.g., Engineering, Line Maintenance, Major Maintenance, Quality Assurance and Control, Maintenance Control, Training Department, Fleet Operations Group, etc.) to assist with the resolution/mitigation of regulatory or procedural related deficiencies and address negative trends.
  • Produces, presents, and tracks safety investigation reports and corrective action plans to assorted audiences, including assisting in preparing the quarterly Safety Management System meetings.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Director, Supplier Quality & Investigations or by Director Quality Assurance.
  • Draft investigation(s) and FAA reports based upon objective evidence obtained and provide the initial risk assessment, any SRA’s and the post mitigation risk analysis.
  • Maintain records of audits and findings to document compliance. Review Corrective Actions of audit discrepancies to assure satisfactory corrective action and preventative actions are accomplished in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the Company Maintenance and Inspection Programs to assure continuing compliance with FAR’s, Company regulations and policies, procedures specifications and maintenance practices.
  • Conduct follow-up audits, as required to ensure problems found during external/internal audits are corrected within time limitations specified in the Company’s General Maintenance Manual.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in a professional demeanor
  • Bachelor degree or above, preferably in Business or Aviation (maybe substituted for experience or an A&P certificate)
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to contribute to the role
  • At least 4 years’ experience in aviation industry, Maintenance, Quality Control, and/or Quality Assurance preferred
  • Flexible and available to work outside of scheduled hours as needed
  • Mechanic’s Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting priorities, resourceful and strong problem solving mindset
  • Limited domestic and international travel may be required.
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Must possess integrity, honesty, and strong work ethic


Salary Range: $82,900-$112,000


Financial offer within the stated range is contingent on the qualification of selected candidates
