Job Description
  • Ensure proper execution of test scripts and documentation of test results in tracking systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Review user requirements documentation; assist in development of test plans; develop test data to be used in performing tests; and transform test plans into test scripts.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
  • Ability to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Be able to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
  • Perform all functional duties independently.
  • Perform formal software testing activities for complex software applications.
  • Extensive experience with multiple defect tracking tools (e.g., Rational, Mercury).
  • Tier One Technologies has an immediate need for a Senior Application Tester. This is going to be a 100% remote position.
  • Extensive experience testing software applications, identifying/documenting defects, and working with developers and end users to resolve defects.
  • Extensive experience authoring software-quality-related documentation such as requirements specifications, test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports.
  • A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.
  • Ability to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program.
  • Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Analyze test results, documents conclusions, and make recommendations that are fully supported by test results.
  • Work on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s).
  • SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
  • Must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card) or hold H1B visa.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with formal software testing for complex software applications.
  • 10+ years of extensive experience in software development, software quality assurance/control, and/or related field.
