The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing various accounting functions, analyzing budgets, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial information. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following duties (additional duties may apply as required): Conduct monthly close procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare precise financial statements, including cash flow analysis, in accordance with our established schedule. Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and maintain the general ledger. Monitor daily and future cash availability by conducting account reconciliations and producing weekly cash activity reports. Review and maintain depreciation and fixed assets schedules. Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and variances. Review inter-company transactions and maintain balances. Generate commission reports. Assist in the preparation of annual audit work papers and financial analysis. Ensure compliance with legal regulations, including tax and audit rules. Assist with Workman's Comp and 401k audits. Prepare data and annual applications related to general business insurances. Maintain compliance with GAAP principles. Collaborate with Auditing firm. Required Competencies: The successful candidate should possess the following competencies: Demonstrated knowledge of basic economics, budgeting, and accounting principles and practices. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Strong aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills. Ability to research issues and solve problems. Self-motivated and proactive. Proficient communication skills. Education and Experience: To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of five years of experience in general accounting. Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Experience working with Epicor is a plus. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
