Job Description
The primary responsibilities of this position will be managing the Accounts Payable and Corporate Expense functions of the bank. This position will also provide support to the finance leadership team by completing a variety of accounting functions in an accurate and professional manner.


Accounts Payable and Corporate Expenses


  • Manage the year-end 1099 reporting process for vendors.
  • Process monthly corporate credit card payments.
  • Calculate and remit sales and use tax.
  • Classify vendor and associate expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain vendor records, including W-9 tracking for 1099 purposes.
  • Process accounts payable weekly, or as needed.
  • Maintain vendor and associate ACH information.
  • Scan supporting documentation.
  • Process associate expense reimbursements.


Financial Reporting And Accounting Functions


  • Perform fixed asset, prepaid and accrued expense accounting.
  • Prepare and submit assigned regulatory reports (i.e. FR2900 and FR2644).
  • Assist in gathering audit documentation and reports for auditors.
  • Learn additional responsibilities to be a backup for various accounting functions in the absence of team members.
  • Prepare reconcilements for assigned internal DDA and general ledger accounts.


Adhere to all Bank Security/Compliance Regulations


  • Stay current on all compliance regulations required for the area and adhere to all associated guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.
  • Complete all annual bank security and compliance training.

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English well and speak clearly.
  • Participate in community involvement/bank activities as appropriate.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enhanced ability and willingness to learn new programs, software and technology.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient typing/keyboarding skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner.
  • Flexibility with hours in order to meet the demands of the department.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to make good decisions and exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent follow up skills.
  • Participate in internal/external training as appropriate.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in community functions where the office is involved.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of Financial Institutions industry is preferred


This position is a full time position with hours of 8am – 5pm Monday-Friday with the flexibility.
