Job Description
We are currently looking for an SQL Programmer/Developer to join our technical team. The SQL Programmer/Developer designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications and components. Supports and/or installs software applications and components. Works from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and maintains documentation of process flow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Consult closely with management and occasionally agency staff related to projects and tasks
  • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
  • Create and deliver data-driven reports
  • Design, code and test new Windows and web software applications
  • Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas for modification and improvement
  • Investigate and develop skills in new technologies
  • Consult colleagues concerning maintenance and performance of software systems
  • Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#
  • Create new and extend existing operational documentation
  • Create technical specifications and test plans
  • Implement new software
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • 3 to 5 years of development experience using C# .NET
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC5)
  • Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g., C#) and HTML5/CSS
  • 3 to 5 years of development experience using SQL Server back-end in .NET Environment (Entity Framework)
  • 3 to 5 years of design and/or development experience with JavaScript, jQuery Mobile, WPF, Bootstrap
  • 3 to 5 years of development experience using third party APIs in a .NET Environment
  • Able to work well in a team setting
  • Familiarity with architecture styles

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 3 to 5 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $60,480 to $105,840 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
