The Sports Reporter/Anchor reports for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers.

The individual chosen for this position must be self-motivated, ambitious, and willing to go the extra mile to produce quality content. This job requires a lot of hard work and long hours. You will be required to News Anchor Weekends, and fill in report as needed

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Comprehensive knowledge of sports and sports related activities

• Works closely with team to develop and produce inclusive sports coverage with context and perspective

• Writes, shoots, edits and publishes video for reports on linear, digital

• And streaming platforms

• Thorough understanding of current events and their impact to local market

• Thorough understanding of hyper-local sports

• Interacts with a diverse audience on social media platforms

• Superior on-air presence

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required

• Responds to breaking sports events and other urgent newsrooms situations as required

• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

• Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites

• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to effectively listen to fully understand problems and communicate with a team to shape a solution

• Flexibility to work any shift
