Specialist, Education to Work Partnerships, LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network

100% Remote in California

Must be a California Resident and reside in Inland Empire

The LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network is a member of the Collaborative Impact team of the Foundation for California Community Colleges and supports meaningful connections between students and employers in California through work-based learning and support services. Our role is to support efforts to bring relevancy and real-world experience to students in California through growing the quantity and quality of work-based learning, with an emphasis on registered apprenticeship, but also includes job shadowing, classroom presentations, internships, and other job training opportunities.

What You’ll Do

The Foundation's Collaborative Impact Department, through the LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network, seeks a Specialist to play a critical role in the department's success by applying deep project management skills and facilitation experience to ensure high-quality design and delivery of specific registered apprenticeship and work-based learning programs.

This position represents an exciting opportunity to help shape and lead program development and technical assistance related activities for initiatives that focus on the expansion of new and innovative pre-apprenticeships and registered apprenticeships as pathways for low-wage workers to secure middle-skill jobs in California and addressing racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in the labor market. In particular, this Specialist will focus on the growth and expansion of occupations in healthcare.

What You Bring
  • Document and report out on access and barrier issues for candidates, support organizations, or industry partners looking to participate or currently participating in apprenticeship.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as implementation partners.
  • Track relevant grantee data and present program outcomes.
  • Helping with the development of team agendas and related content, facilitating team meeting components, and helping coordinate any follow-up activities.
  • Develop and deliver content and serve as liaison to internal and external partners to support increased access to apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Assist with development of toolkits, reports, and resources to benefit and highlight insights from program development, program outreach, case management, and/or technical assistance.
  • Assist with program development and implementation, and related technical assistance activities (e.g., partner meetings, in-person convenings, industry committees) for the LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network, with a primary focus on healthcare occupations:
  • Develop relationships with relevant organizations to support the growth of healthcare apprenticeship programs in the Inland Empire.
  • Ability to work on a fast-paced team and build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating project activities and tracking grant deliverables.
  • A self-starter and quick learner who is highly motivated and outcome-oriented, always seeking innovative approaches to project execution.
  • Adapt related technical assistance activities as needed based on the needs of the regional workforce system.
  • Practices ownership, takes accountability, and has the ability to manage own work, prioritize tasks, and deliver quality products on time with limited supervision.
  • Participate in team-wide development activities and apply knowledge and experience to support other LAUNCH projects, including:
  • Develop post-event attendee satisfaction surveys.
  • Work collaboratively with the LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network team to design and facilitate various in-person and virtual convenings, meetings, and outreach events each year.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to conduct research, including data collection, monitoring, analysis, and reporting, to increase understanding of apprenticeship and other program area impact:
