Position Details

BROAD FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for providing coordination with Wayne RESA staff, outside contractors, local districts, Public
School Academies, Michigan Department of Education, community-based organizations, and other agencies to facilitate Early
Childhood services and other special program services and provide leadership, consultative and support services to facilitate
meeting fiscal and administrative requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process Early Childhood grant reports and other state and federal grant reports using software and databases.
Generate Early Childhood data for processing and assist in providing data for audit.
Work with the Michigan Department of Education to generate and provide all grant and fiscal reporting related to Early Childhood programs.
Develop procedures to organize and manage documentation for Early Childhood and other special programs and
ensure up-to-date and accuracy of all Early Childhood rules, policies, and laws.
Communicate with all Early Childhood sub-recipients Early Childhood program partners, and other special programs
regarding fiscal invoices, billing, and reimbursement issues.
Conduct audits and fiscal analysis of all Early Childhood program budgets and fiscal processes.
Generate necessary data of Early Childhood grants and related programs and complete state/federal reports
accurately and timely.
Prepare and file required State/Federal reports in MEGS/NEXSYS or other identified state or federal system.
Annually gather, review and consolidate submission of all required State & Federal reports based on MDE Fiscal
schedules.
Develop and monitor MISTAR (or other SIS systems) and MSDS reporting procedures to ensure accuracy in CEPI
reports.
Review, organize, and recommend Early Childhood fiscal and system changes and enhancements.
Review MDE fiscal requirements and develop processes and procedures for sub-recipient data gathering utilizing
effective and efficient technology. (Such as google budget workbooks)
Conduct professional development sessions and training programs related to fiscal support for Early Childhood and
other special programs.
Assist in the preparation of specialized reports when required. Support districts and agencies and provide tools and guidance to facilitate fiscal and administrative compliance.
Carry out the functions of this position within the direction provided by Wayne RESA’s mission and goals and
departmental goals and objectives.
Work in collaboration with other Wayne RESA staff to ensure client needs are met in the most efficient and effective
manner.
Participate as an active team member in organizational projects.
Regular and predictable attendance.
