The Spa Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of all spa operations. This includes leadership of spa teams, supporting the overall spa, pool and fitness operation, quality and guest experience as well as team motivation is a key component to managing and overseeing the daily operations. This position must ensure colleague satisfaction, guest satisfaction, financial success, health & safety and environmental stewardship. The position supports the Director of Spa in the establishment and execution of clear short-term and long-term goals to ensure that the spa is recognized as one of the best spas in the world. These goals must ensure colleague satisfaction, guest satisfaction, financial success, health & safety and environmental stewardship.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Handle telephone reservations in line with service standards, using proper telephone etiquette.
- Perform check in and check out of all spa guests. Handle payment transactions for treatment and retail products.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Scheduling spa reservations and upsell treatments to maximize room and therapist utilization.
- Provide guest escorts to changing rooms, relaxation area and swimming pool.
- Complete all opening and closing duties professionally and accurately.
- Ascertain guest satisfaction upon guest departure and ensure.
- Provide warm welcome and personalized service to all guests visiting the spa.
- Provide retail recommendations to guests tailored to their specific needs.
- Ensure uniform and appearance is tidy and professional, in line with grooming standards.
- Report accidents, injuries to management.
- Ensure spa reception area is kept clean and free of clutter, retail display is presented elegantly and appropriately replenished at all times.
- Ensure all payment transactions are accurate at the end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Tourism & Administration.
