JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Sonographer performs a variety of routine and complex imaging procedures using high frequency sound waves. Our Senior Sonographer on the Ultrasound Team:
  • Performs a variety of routine and complex imaging procedures using high frequency sound waves.
  • Clearly demonstrates flexibility and a commitment to enhancing the Ultrasound environment for patients, Sonographers and Radiologists.
  • Schedule: This position is expected to be four 10-hour shifts each week, working from 9p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

  • Performs a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations and functions at an advanced level within the Ultrasound Division.
  • Contributes to the development of policies, procedures, standards, objectives, and quality assurance needs of the Ultrasound Division.

EDUCATION:
  • Three years of continuous ultrasound training in a clinical setting.
  • Certified ARDMS certification (registration) in two subspecialties of diagnostic ultrasound (not including physics which is required for the first certification). One of these certifications must be abdomen or Ob-Gyn.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, graduate of an approved CAHEA/JRCT school of Radiologic Technology, or a two year allied health equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Three years of clinical experience in Diagnostic Ultrasound is required to be hired as a Senior Sonographer. We are open to candidates with less experience and would bring you in as a Staff Sonographer - apply today and let's talk!

Candidates joining us in a full-time position as an MRI Tech, from a distance that is greater than 50 miles from their previous role and home, are eligible for relocation assistance up to $9,200.
BENEFITS:
At UVMMC, we support our employees as passionately as we care for our patients. We offer a comprehensive, total compensation package that includes salary, health and wellness benefits, paid time off, and more.
