Job Description
EDUCATIONAL, CERTIFICATE and LICENSE REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) computer science, information systems or related field required. “The typical starting pay range for this position is between [$86k-$128k], although wages can vary based on experience and geography.”


EXPERIENCE, SKILL And ABILITY REQUIREMENTS


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs required.
  • An intelligent individual who can relate to people at different levels of the organization and possesses very strong communication skills, both written and verbal required.
  • Healthcare, Pharmacy, and/or Medical experience highly preferred
  • An individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus required.
  • Capable to efficiently complete tasks in a fast paced environment required.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays pursuant with industry demands required.
  • An organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision required.
  • 2 years of experience with API and UI automation testing on desktop browser and mobile devices utilizing Selenium/Appium is required.
  • Experience with client/server automation and tools like TestComplete, POSTMAN, Azure DevOps, mobile cloud hosting platforms like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack preferred.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines required.
  • Strong knowledge of test and defect management tools like Jira/Azure DevOps required.
  • Experience with programming in Python, JavaScript and/or Java, SQL and PL/SQL required.
  • Ability to exercise judgment, and act in a professional manner required.
  • 4 years of experience in software quality testing required.
  • Proficient in testing web and mobile application, .NET based client server, web services and Database required.
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with testing methodologies required.
  • Ability to work with peers in a team effort required.



The Software Quality Engineer II is responsible for verifying the software released meets client requirements and responsible for the delivery of high-quality applications, enhancements, and maintenance by thoroughly testing systems and new software prior to "go-live" implementation and supporting the successful scaling and rollout as needed. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.


Responsibilities


  • Create, enhance and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically.
  • Document test procedures to ensure compliance with standards
  • Prepare testing sign off documentation for release
  • Develop testing plans that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, errors, defect retests and ensure proper test cases, test data and regression test bed is created for assigned projects.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules or potential problems
  • Conduct historical analyses of test results
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks and CI/CD/CT tools preferred.
  • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
  • Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs and code pieces to determine breakdown source
  • Capture and generate software quality metrics and status reports for assigned team to management
  • Analyze root cause of issues reported from user acceptance testing
  • Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems and network environments
  • Update automated test scripts to ensure currency
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates
  • Participate in requirement and design reviews and perform testability assessments
  • Develop a plan and strategy for test automation, performance and security testing for assigned projects and applications
  • Investigate referred customer problems as needed
  • Review test results documentation to verify pass fail status
  • Remain current on relevant best practices to support offering
  • Create test strategies, plans, cases, scenarios, scripts, procedures and other test deliverables based on assigned project requirements
  • Lead and coordinate testing with off-shore resources as assigned.
  • Utilize defect management tool to log and track all defects identified during testing
  • Identify program deviance from standards and suggest modifications to ensure compliance
  • Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
  • Document and execute test cases
  • Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations
  • Develop or specify standards, methods and procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
