Software Qa Automation Engineer - Applied Networking

• Experience developing in Python and/or Swift
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
• Proven ability to lead a complete functional area of an application or product
• Ability to drive multi-functional communications, understanding dependencies while also ensuring a tight timeline can be maintained
• Experience in designing, writing, and automating test cases for specific features
• Excellent knowledge of software development and the QA lifecycle

This role is to develop automated tests for sharing on all Apple platforms (macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS). You’ll use your knowledge of wireless networking to create and automate thorough test plans. This position is highly collaborative, working with software and test engineering to expand test suites, as well as building tools to make the result triage process easier. YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: - Development, deployment, and maintenance of automated tests - Analysis of test results and creation of clear and practical bug reports - Identifying areas of improvement in our processes and documentation - Addressing unique problems with innovative solutions, and taking appropriate risks - Creating targeted tools to help facilitate testing for yourself and others as well as document both planning and test execution - Collaborate with other QA and software engineering teams to increase their use of automated testing - Working multi-functionally with numerous teams from a variety of fields across Apple, including hardware/software development, developer tools, design, QA and project management

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)

• Experience with wireless networking technologies (Bluetooth, WiFi, NAN)
• Experience with XCTest and Xcode
• Familiarity with developing for iOS and macOS

The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
