Join our growing team that supports private investment applications in the Managed Investments division. We are seeking a strong software engineer skilled in Python and data engineering. Experience integrating vendor software and building integrations is desired. You will build and support systems used by NM Capital (our private investment team), so you should have investment experience or a strong desire to learn more about this complex and exciting field.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Applies engineering standard processes to analyze and develop software solutions.
• Participates in setting team standards and work using agile methodology.
• Develops software using established SDLC processes like CI/CD, Code Review, Monitoring, Automation, and practices.
• On our team, you'll understand business requirements, perform data analysis, and design and implement high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Investment management business domain is a plus.
• TDD using Pytest and/or unit test libraries
• At least 2 years of experience in SQL or other query languages. An understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling is a plus.
• 2-3 years of professional production application development or programming experience.
• Able to collaborate and mentor new team members
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Can communicate clearly to the business
• Data Warehousing experience is a plus. Fivetran/Airbyte or any other tool in this category
• Production experience with Snowflake or other cloud data technologies is a plus.
• At least 2 years of application development or programming experience in Python. DBT experience is a plus.
• Production experience or Familiarity in ETL pipelines on AWS using serverless patterns and/or Airflow, CI/CD using GitLab, Kubernetes, and deployment using terraform concepts is a plus.

Compensation Range
Pay Range - Start:
$80,920.00
Pay Range - End
$115,600.00
