Position Summary

This is a full-time position, located in Huntsville, AL. Applicant will work at our office in Huntsville with a hybrid of both in office and remote work. The person in this role will be responsible for leading the development of software system design, including high level architecture, interface definitions, system behavior and user interfaces.
This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to pioneer the product development of cyber warfare planning, monitoring, and assessment tools for Operational Test environments. This role will require creativity and innovation to combine the discipline of Software Engineering with larger program and corporate objectives. In this role, the candidate must be able to conceptualize solutions, define product roadmaps and know how to apply new technologies to meet emerging customer needs.
What You'll Do: Your day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate with program management team to prioritize programmatic and technical objectives
• Less than 25% travel may be required
• Assist in deriving user stories based on requirements to guide the dev team in creating the products that meet our customers' needs
• Support our Agile/Scrum process through backlog management
• Manage and develop tasks for software engineering and development efforts
• Lead a team of developers and perform software engineering activities such as: software development, design documentation and diagrams, peer-reviews, etc.
• Support your team of developers by establishing, explaining, and documenting code design patterns, as well as ensuring that program developers are quickly unblocked when necessary

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship
• Experience in software development environments utilizing Agile methodology
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience in software system architecture definition, system and subsystem level requirements definition, and defining requirements from existing operational concepts and use cases
• Experience writing software in Java or C# (both is preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in a technical discipline (engineering, science, computer science/engineering)
• Experience managing and estimating technical backlogs, translating business and feature requirements to concrete developer tasks
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Possess a strong software development lifecycle background
• Strong understanding of Git source control and various Git branching strategies

Desired Qualifications

• Background in DoD operational test environments
• Experience with DevOps / DevSecOps tools and processes
• Experience modeling systems with Enterprise Architect or Cameo
• Experience with containerized applications and tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Experience with TENA-based systems
• Experience with Python and/or Unity
• Experience in LVC (Live, Virtual, and Constructive) test or training environments
• Familiarity with DoD software and systems development
• Familiarity with cyber testing, network security, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.

Security Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Any formal job offer will be contingent upon the incumbents' receipt of an Interim Clearance and successful adjudication of the security clearance process.
