Description

Juniors and Seniors are you looking for some hands-on-Java experience, applying what you’ve learned in classes to real life projects? SHAZAM is looking for a motivated IT Intern to be part of a team that will work on Web design, develop, and enhance API services.

What you’ll do:

• Understand and utilizes test driven development techniques to ensure code conforms to design.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.
• Knowledgeable in a single development language and can implement independently or with guidance
• Complete job activity at direction of mentor.
• Participate in cross-departmental project teams.
• Independently capable of performing problem resolution
• Knowledgeable in silo'd SHAZAM application systems
• Assist computer operators and/or systems programmers in recovery from system error/malfunction conditions.
• Available to respond by text or call and be able to have a physical presence on site, as needed.
• Accurately estimate effort required to complete assigned tasks and completes assigned tasks on schedule.
• Develop code, test, debug document and maintain to documented specifications
• Work under the direct supervision of more senior level development staff.
• Act in all phases of the SDLC – with guidance.
• Capable of assessing impacts to code within a silo'd application

• Junior or senior student status in college degree requirements
• Understanding of Database concepts
• Completion of Java or another programming language
• Student working towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area of concentration.
