Job Description
Overview:

We are seeking full-time Software Engineer Interns for our co-op program at our Olathe, KS office. This role will require a weekly commitment of 30-40 working hours and is available for the Fall 2023 semester, in-person. In this role, you will be responsible for learning and training to develop software for Garmin’s communication and navigation products under supervision.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
  • Learn to develop software using C, C++, or other selected languages
  • Learn to perform software releases and software quality assurance activities
  • Learn to perform maintenance activities for products already in production in addition to new product software design
  • Learn to test software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Must be able to work at least 30 hours per week, in-person at the Olathe office
  • Must possess relevant experience and/or training in data structures or object oriented design methodology
  • Must possess relevant experience and/or training in languages such as C or C++
  • Completed coursework in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field

  • Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
