Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking successful Software Developer to be responsible for designing and developing solutions which assist our business and factories to perform at the highest level. The primary platform used for development is Ignition from Inductive Automation. This individual is expected to help shape discussions around strategy and execution. They will act as a technical contributor, reporting to the section manager and expected to effectively interact with internal customers representing the customers interest and the team. The Developer will contribute to training and increasing the knowledge and experience of junior programmers. The candidate would ideally be comfortable working in groups or independently as well as giving and receiving direction.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage industry best practice technologies and methodologies to solve complex technical challenges
• Design intuitive, easy-to-navigate, aesthetically pleasing user interfaces
• Challenge legacy thinking and drive change
• Develop world class solutions that help deliver quality products on-time, at or below cost in a safe environment
• Drive innovation across the enterprise through factory and process automation and data analytics
• An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for years of experience
• Contribute to the execution of long-term I4.0 strategy

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Proficient in SQL programming language
• Previous experience working in a commercial/industrial engineering or manufacturing environment
• Experience developing in at least one of the following: Ignition, Python, Java Script, Oracle, C#, C++
• You must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
• Typically requires 5 years relevant experience
• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

Qualifications We Value:

• Previous experience in leading projects and/or project teams through the project lifecycle
• Experience/Understanding project management methodologies such as Agile and/or Scrum
• Experience and/or desire to coach/mentor Jr. Developers in best practices and knowledge sharing
• Experience in Database development and associated tools such as SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Integrated Services and advanced techniques for merging data and query design

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
