The Role
May assist in translating business requirements into specific designs and/or participate in the design, evaluation, and selection of Service Assurance solutions for software for a specific business process. Assist in the current and future use of practice, metrics, and methodologies to determine solutions. Explore and evaluate new and approved technologies. Consult on the application of existing and new, approved technologies to develop solutions. Ensure the process of creation and delivery of design and solution in accordance with architectural direction.
The Main Responsibilities
- This role will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization including but not limited to executive leadership, product owners, developers, and testers to plan, develop, and implement solutions to optimize and automate business and technical processes.
- This role will shape how Lumen combines the latest technologies and services to automate all aspects of software deployment and instance lifecycle management.
- This role will have responsibility for translating product vision and turning requirements into reality.
- The SOFTWARE DEVELOPER II understands the software development lifecycle (from coding to support) and understands various automation tools for developing digital pipelines.
- Candidate is passionate about software automation and quality is always a priority.
The Main Responsibilities
- Assist other Software Developers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team.
- Knowledge on how to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a test and product environments.
- Work with the development team to improve the system architecture.
- Mentor and train other Software Developers and seek to continually improve processes.
- Ability to identify, assess and integrate various requests using existing technologies and services.
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools, such as GITLAB CI, Jenkins and ITCDM.
- Develop and Deploy Automation Solutions for a business need.
- Work under agile principles.
- Apply a thorough understanding of deploying and managing application lifecycles to interpret customer business needs and processes.
- Supportive and collaborative management ability in a team environment, as well as proven customer-facing management skills
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Experience with API integration and Micro Services and Containers
- Experienced with Relational and Non-Relational databases.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- 4 years overall professional software development experience.
- Detailed understanding of networking at all layers.
- Knowledge in LINUX Server Administration
- Candidate must have technical experience in orchestration tools such as Itential, Ansible, etc.
- 2+ years of hands-on development experience with programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript, C++, Python, or Java.
- Familiar with concepts related to continuous integration and continuous deployment.
Education
- Bachelors and/or 4+ years equivalent work experience.
