About The Role
The Social Media Specialist reports to the Manager, Communications and will work collaboratively to coordinate the organization's social media presence. The role involves compiling social media content that aligns with the organization's brand and strategy and staying current with industry trends and best practices to enhance Food Bank’s digital presence. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for creating, curating, and publishing content, as well as capturing the voice of Food Bank in social media post copy.

What You’ll Do
Maintain Social Media Accounts
- Oversee day-to-day social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Monitor and respond to social media inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain relationship with Feeding America to align with their communication strategy.
- Implement social media strategies in collaboration with the Manager, Communications to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Track, review and report social media metrics to improve engagement.
- Create and maintain social media calendar.
- Create and maintain additional pages for upcoming Food Bank initiatives.
- Create and curate creative and engaging content such as graphics, copy, photos, videos.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.

What You’ll Need: Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of all social media platforms including the features and functionality and awareness of emerging platforms
- Strong data reporting skills and experience using social media analytics tools for storytelling and to support decision making
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Suite, Sprout Social or similar scheduling tools
- Creative mindset and ability to produce engaging multimedia content
- Knowledge of paid social.
- Ability to read, write and speak in a second language, preferably Spanish.
- Keen eye for photography.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy coming up with creative ideas and developing action plans to drive goal execution and goal attainment
- You want to work in a positive environment where differences are valued.
- Are a strong, effective coach and motivator and have proven success in developing team members
