Job Description
Sunlighten is in search of an imaginative and data-savvy Social Media Manager, whose primary role will be to lead our social growth strategy across various platforms, elevating our global mission to new heights. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in a comparable position and exhibit a deep understanding of global social media platforms, growth strategies, performance metrics, and how to collaborate effectively with partners/influencers, as well as sales and marketing teams.


As the Social Media Manager, you will create compelling, targeted, relevant content that both educates and entertains, ultimately driving consumer engagement. Another crucial duty will involve discerning and offering valuable insights into emerging content trends, prospective influencers, noteworthy events, promising brands, and innovative products that Sunlighten can harness for our growth. You will possess a keen awareness of how social channels can enhance both the B2C and B2B sales and marketing funnels, thus generating high-quality leads, mobilizing brand advocates, and extending Sunlighten's brand awareness. In essence, our Social Media Manager will own Sunlighten's social media strategy and report on all social metrics related to driving best-in-class content, community management, social listening, and paid media results.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Have a deep understanding of influencer marketing strategies and how to integrate with social media channels
  • Develop and consistently optimize a best-in-class social media strategy that evolves the creative positioning and identity of the Sunlighten brand across multiple social channels
  • Partner with marketing to develop compelling static and video content ideas that increase brand equity, leverage brand advocates and improve engagement levels, ensuring an appropriate balance of proactive and real-time content
  • Develop and manage editorial/content calendar, including managing a content pipeline by maintaining calendars, sourcing quality UGC, gathering assets from internal and external partners, developing creative assets and crafting copy specific to each brand and platform
  • Manage all testing, campaign builds, reporting, and optimization. This includes all in-platform adjustments and budget pacing/forecasting
  • Lead the community management strategy to increase engagement, positive sentiment and appropriately intersect conversations in organic social channels as well as within our Facebook private community group
  • Develop social listening approach to aid in content development for paid social media initiatives, earned content, blog posts and SEO while sharing insights that inform tone and brand strategy
  • Management of Community and Customer Experience Specialist
  • Benchmark and monitor competitors and industry leaders in social media to apply best practices
  • Ability to work with creative team to direct assets needed for social media
  • Drive paid media strategy to develop effective, efficient paid social campaigns resulting in high quality leads
  • Oversee and manage all social media accounts and platforms through content generation and sharing via Sprout Social, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc
  • Own all analytics, KPIs and reporting across social channels; assess and optimize performance, identify trends and outline key insights and recommendations to boost engagement


Requirements


  • Proven success developing social strategy and driving results across all facets of social media management, including paid and organic social, PR, community management, content strategy and analytics
  • Technologically savvy with an in-depth knowledge of social analytics and content creation tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism or other relevant area
  • Balance of strong strategic thinking and flawless execution, with impeccable attention to detail
  • Basic video and editing for quick social video needs preferred
  • Experience working with / managing global brands and integrating social channels from various countries preferred
  • Superior understanding of social media including strategy and implementation across platforms
  • 5+ years marketing experience at an agency, preferred, or at corporate in-house marketing department
  • Experience with scheduling and monitoring tools, preferably Sprout Social
  • Experience with influencer relationships across platforms with a point of view on best practices
