Best known as the founder of global health and wellness brand, KIND Snacks, Daniel Lubetzky built KIND into a multi-billion-dollar company from an outside-the-box idea to make the world kinder, one snack and one act at a time. Daniel is the author of The New York Times best-seller Do the KIND Thing and a four-time returning shark on the ABC television series Shark Tank.


A social entrepreneur, Daniel’s foray into the food business arose from his work to build bridges between neighbors in conflict in the Middle East. The son of a Holocaust survivor, Daniel has committed himself to ensuring that what happened to his father never happens again. His non-profit and civic organizations such as Starts with US to give voice and agency to the majority of citizens who favor common sense solution-building over hateful divisiveness.


Through his business-building and investment platform Camino Partners, Daniel and his team partner with entrepreneurs to co-found, launch, and build new ventures (like Mexican food brand SOMOS ) — and also take meaningful positions in entrepreneur-led ventures building value with values.


What You'll Do


Reporting to Daniel Lubetzky’s VP of Communications, the Social Media manager is responsible for creating and posting video content and designed assets for Daniel’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts). Your job is to come up with a steady stream of entertaining, thought provoking content ideas that will transport Daniel’s projects, ideas, values, and personality to his audiences.


Your work will be supported by a paid advertising strategy that will support KPIs measuring aggressive growth in both audience size and engagement.


Roles & Responsibilities


  • In partnership with the VP of Communications, respond to Daniel’s inquiries in real-time and help educate him on how to use each platform for highest impact.
  • In partnership with the VP of Communications, devise a steady stream of content ideas that bring together Daniel's projects with his core values and personality
  • Maintain an organized content calendar to ensure a coordinated posting strategy across all channels
  • In partnership with the VP of Communications, activate Daniel’s network of peer leaders to collaborate on content that can be amplified to their networks
  • Stay ahead of the news cycle to identify key moments in the news and pop culture that should be reactive moments for Daniel on social
  • In partnership with the VP of Communications, act as an authentic ambassador for Daniel Lubetzky’s brand, ideas, tone, and point-of-view
  • Regularly respond to posts from the community in real-time and pose questions to elicit further engagement and sharing
  • Ensure successful project management across all content production efforts, coordinating needs across freelance videographers and editors
  • Compile monthly snapshots of post-performance and growth toward KPIs
  • Liaise closely with social media managers across Daniel’s ventures, such as KIND and Starts With Us, to ensure a coordinated effort
  • Personally manage all proactive and reactive posting to Daniel’s social media channels, acting as a voice for Daniel Lubetzky and his ideas


Requirements


You Have


  • Ability to thrive in a fast-based entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience translating abstract ideas into concrete, relatable, shareable content
  • Determination to think critically, question your assumptions, and learn from others
  • Passion for Daniel’s mission and work to promote entrepreneurship rooted in values and to inspire participation in making democracy work (transcending hyper-partisanship)
  • Remarkable inquisitiveness and empathy that enables you think in someone else’s POV
  • Willingness to provide and receive candid, supportive feedback across hierarchal lines
  • Ability to travel on a somewhat regular basis
  • 5 years of experience in a social media-specific role
  • Exceptional knowledge of pop culture and news
  • Detail-oriented approach and commitment to excellence across even the smallest tasks
  • Proven track-record of driving follower growth and engagement on social media (priority: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
