A little about this position:

Be the front-line contact for guests who wish to use the valet service for their ski equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Ensuring that valet equipment checks are performed
• Maintaining ski valet area and surrounding areas in a neat and clean condition including entranceway
• Accomplishing related results as needed
• Anticipate problems
• Smile, greet guests, show a positive, friendly attitude
• Monitor weather conditions and report lift closure updates and hours of operation to guests
• Assist guests in getting boots on
• Open and close business operations area procedures prior to guest arrival
• Checking guest equipment in for proper storage.
• Answer any questions that the guests may have
• Shoveling snow on/off ramps to provide proper levels and smooth ice free surfaces
• Reporting to work in proper uniform
• Collecting litter and trash thus enhancing the appearance of the entire Resort
• Providing information, ensure safe and proper equipment storage
• Always perform tasks with a positive, upbeat and friendly manner to guests or other staff that may be using ski "valet" service
• Pass off any necessary information as needed
• Check tickets politely
• Offer guidance and direction to the gondola or hotel
• Assisting in daily checks
• Documenting of all required actions on the daily logs
• Reporting anything unusual to supervisor
• Assisting guests with equipment dressing area.
• Offer to enlist the help or shuttle service in returning to the hotel lobby
• Answering guests questions, anticipating guests needs or questions
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Providing an orderly, pleasant, and clean environment which provides for easy loading and unloading

Requirements:

• The degree of strenuous activity within the job is considered to be high. Often lifting a weight of 50 pounds throughout the day is common.
• High School Diploma or proven ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical functions, and aptitude to learn/use computer system(s).
• Additional strenuous physical activity may include walking on uneven terrain.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
• The primary physical environment in which this position works is indoors.
• This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

Hourly pay rate: $18
