Job Description

We are representing a Fortune 1000 automotive supplier who is actively seeking a Site Supply Chain Director due to a recently announced retirement. POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Interface with customers and suppliers as appropriate.
  • Provide key input into the development of the department's strategic business plan and identify and track key measurables to support the department business plan goals.
  • Direct department process improvements and corrective actions.
  • Candidate will have strong influence on demand and capacity planning.
  • Complete ownership (inclusive of budget) over the plant materials, production/inventory control, and planning function over a 800+ employee campus.
  • Candidate will report to the VP/General Manager and have a strong working relationship with the NA Director of Production Control & Logistics.
  • Work closely with Plant General Manager to determine KPI's, and deliverables.
  • Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.
  • Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and department business plan goals.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience improving inventory through Kanban Systems
  • 3-5 years of Materials/Supply Chain Management leadership experience in a high speed manufacturing facility
  • Experience using mainstream ERP/MRP systems
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Candidate should have a proven track record of improving departmental KPI's/deliverables
