Ascendion Is Looking For a - Site Reliability Engineer with Database Administrator Experience

Must Have:

• Strong experience as a database administrator.
• Strong experience in PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Good conceptual knowledge of OODB’s
• Good mastery of Enterprise technologies, multizone, multi-region replication strategies.
• Automation skill in Bash, Golang, Python a plus.
• An eye toward process improvement and automation.
• High level of organization.
• Mastery of current Database best practices and design patterns.
• Sharp analytical skills and problem-solving technique.
• Knowledge of the cloud and managed services such as MS Flex Server or AWS RDS.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Experience in query optimization and performance improvement.
• Knowledge of IaC and CI/CD tools such as Terraform and GitHub Actions a plus.
