Ramboll is seeking a highly motivated Manager to join the Pacific Northwest Business Unit (Seattle or Vancouver, Washington; Portland, Oregon; or a Pacific Northwest remote location). To succeed in this role, you must have:


  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
  • 10-15 years’ experience in infrastructure construction, due diligence, land use permitting, utility planning, engineering, environmental site assessments, or risk management in a consulting environment..
  • Undergraduate degree in applicable disciplines preferred (e.g., engineering, physical science, construction management, urban planning, or architecture), and/or Masters degree in relevant subjects
  • Proven track record of sound decision making, taking ownership, and delivering results in a leadership role
  • Direct experience with projects in data center operations/mission critical facilities, permitting, technical due diligence, or risk assessment experience strongly preferred
  • 10-15 years’ project or program management experience in a consulting environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with client managers and technical staff

You will join our Pacific Northwest Business Unit


As a new Manager, you will join our team of scientists and engineers located in and associated with our Seattle or Vancouver, Washington or Portland, Oregon offices.


Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to:


  • Coordinate internal teams and manage relationships with consultants, external subject matter experts, and clients.
  • Present assessment results to clients, Ramboll staff, subconsultants, stakeholders and leaders to drive alignment on risk management strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, driving efficiencies, and developing initiatives to improve client risk management.
  • Assess and draw conclusions from a wide range of real estate, engineering, construction, policy, planning, and business development considerations.
  • Take on leadership roles in supporting internal and external clients.
  • Develop and monitor internal metrics, goals, and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide project oversight and direction for technical due diligence projects involving selection of data center development sites throughout the US.
  • Review and prioritize risk-based mitigation recommendations covering a variety of technical topic areas relating to development and operation of data centers.
  • Draw upon prior experience to provide advisory support to industry, government, and legal clients, helping them to achieve better, more sustainable outcomes.
  • Work on multiple projects and meet high quality standards on project deliverables.

Salary Transparency Statement


At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary in the Seattle area between $115,000 and $120,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
