Job Description
Job Title: Part time Site Coordinator – Elementary and Middle Schools


Reports to: Program Manager Direct Reports: Club Leaders Status: Part-Time; Non Exempt Hourly Range: $25.38 -$28.62


Hours: Monday through Friday - 30/hours a week, may be required to work weekends Position Information:


In response to COVID-19, and in partnership with school districts who are operating under direction of LA County Public Health guidelines, Woodcraft Rangers will provide child care children with the highest needs, as determined by district leadership in small “pods” of children on school campuses or in neighborhood locations. The Site Coordinators are responsible for ensuring a positive learning environment for students in-person while adhering to CDC, and local health department guidelines. Groves will operate a maximum number of pods, as determined by health and district officials. The Site Coordinator will work directly with site staff and school to plan and implement activities for use in after school programs; recruit participants, coordinate the programs for the site, communicate with parents and develop program schedules. The Site Coordinator is responsible to the Program Manager, School Principal and School Liaison for effective and timely implementation of program policy, goals, and procedures.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership for part-time site staff, students, and volunteers; and provide the
  • Ensure students are in a safe environment (physical and emotional) at all times, including but not limited to adhering to social distancing guidelines, wearing proper PPE, submitting to daily wellness screening and keeping a clean work space.
  • Supervise staff who implements program components.
  • Meet all Woodcraft Rangers, funder, partners or district mandated deadlines.
  • Ensure safe physical and emotional environment for program participants.
  • Organize own work daily, weekly and monthly to ensure key deadlines are met and to ensure work for key stakeholders is completed on time and according to instructions.
  • Manage day to day operations of site.
  • Assist in coordinating events, activities and meetings for school administration, parents and community organizations to increase awareness and support of the program.
  • Ensure overall success of all enrichment programs or projects.

Qualifications:


  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook
  • If selected for employment, candidates are required to show proof of being fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the final dose against COVID-19 before their start date
  • Experience in working with ethnic and culturally diverse communities
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish desirable
  • Two years’ experience in program coordination
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability
  • AA Degree or at least 9 units in Child Development and working towards a BA in social work, education, recreation or related field, preferred
  • Valid LIVE Scan, TB Clearance, and CPR Certification
  • Knowledge and experience working in expanded learning programs or youth recreational facilities.
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written communication
  • Must have a personal Smartphone for business communication purposes
  • Experience working with youth of all ages
