Peterson Cat has a need for a Shop Welder at our Medford, OR location.
Summary
The Shop Welder performs welding and line-boring processes for repair and custom fabrication projects in the weld shop.
Essential Job Functions

• Perform the following welding and fabrication operations in the weld shop and on customer sites as needed with occasional supervision:
• Perform assigned tasks in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Operate welding and cutting equipment.
• Write service reports that accurately document activities.
• Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and timecards in an accurate and timely manner to enable other employees to do their job in a timely manner.
• Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
• Communicate with internal and external customers in a manner that promotes a positive relationship.
• Fabricate custom components.
• Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules.
• Work overtime as needed within labor law guidelines.
• Modify new and used equipment as directed.
• Follow manufacturer and company installation and service guidelines and procedures to ensure quality work.
• Perform repair welds on components.

Qualifications
Associates Degree from a fully accredited college in a related field; and a minimum of three years of directly related experience in welding/fitting, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
