Shop Laborer Jobs

International Drilling Equipment is seeking a Shop Laborer. The Shop Laborer will assist with the daily operations of the shop, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop floor, and supporting other team members with various tasks as needed. The individual in this position should be personable, a problem solver, self-motivated, take initiative, a leader of people, ethical, intelligent, and able to adapt to all of the forces around them - customers, suppliers, department employees, co-workers and manufacturer’s employees.

Reports to: Sales Manager
Primary Job Responsibilities

• Be able to lift more than 50lbs.
• Cleaning and maintaining the shop floor, equipment, and tools.
• Pressure wash Equipment
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Operating basic tools and machinery under the supervision of a senior team member.
• Assisting with the assembly and disassembly of equipment and machinery.
• Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Following safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Moving and organizing materials, products, and supplies as needed.

Qualifications

• Use of hands, fingers, and wrists frequently
• Experience: A few months to one year of related experience.
• Must be able to bend, twist, lift, stoop
• Must have or be able to obtain forklift certification
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Work Hours And Environment

• This position reports to the Rural Hall, NC, location
• Warehouse and yard environments will be subject to weather conditions according to season
• Working hours are M-F 9am to 5:30pm
