Shop Foreman Jobs

Job Summary: Shop Foreman The Shop Foreman is responsible for leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics in an aggressive quality preventative maintenance repair program, including the maintenance of large-duty vehicles, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient fleet. Supervisory Responsibilities: Technicians and Mechanics Duties/Responsibilities: Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers. Work with the Shop Manager to prioritize equipment needs. Train and work with technicians as needed. Knowledge of Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems. Knowledge of engine Diagnostic Software, Cummins Insite, Detroit Series, Mack PTT and Peterbilt Davie4 preferred. Conduct regular maintenance and service trucks. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Diagnose problems and plan repairs. Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks. Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles. Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to work with all shop tools. Technical aptitude. Problem-solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Teamwork skills. Experience and proficiency in using OEM websites for diagnostics and repairs. Understanding of corporate tire program. Education and Experience: Minimum of 5 years progressive experience as a diesel mechanic required. Minimum of 5 years of trailer repair and maintenance experience required. Ability to pass DOT Physical and DOT Road Test. Physical Requirements: Employee is required to stand approximately 80%, and walk 20% of work time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
