Job Title
Shipping/Receiving Clerk | D Shift (Night Shift) | 8 PM to 8 AM Shift Rotation
Position Overview
Position Objective: To assist the Warehouse supervisor with inbound and outbound shipments pertaining to receiving and bill goods, and to monitor the inventory.
Essential Duties (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):
Must be able to send and receive emails and make phone calls to customers or vendors about all shipping duties. Keep track of trailers on site and monitor stagnant trailer accounts. Able to coordinate and communicate daily truck schedules that affect the immediate flow of products in and out of Plant 10 with the use of the Outgoing trailer Line-up. Perform daily count of available raw fiber and email to designated personnel. Pull all production information from YSF. Assist the IE accountant with the month-end inventory report. Notify the Response Center of YSF problems. Create and maintain IPTs and BOLs in the YSF System. Verify the manifest of all shipments and incoming items. Before unloading the raw fiber, conduct a visual check for damage or contamination, and ensure the physical count matches the IPT and BOL. Print out all receivers in the YSF System. Monitor all yarns on hold. Follow Positive Recall Procedures. Adhere to the FIFO procedure and notify the supervisor and/or Quality Manager of any problems. Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of YSF and GLINK along with all required screens to complete job procedures. Also, be able to detect and correct problems in YSF. Print cone labels. Follow procedures for closing trailers for shipment. Create and assign IPTs to the matching BOL, and distribute them to the proper personnel, plant, and driver. Maintain all shipments in the Raw Book. File all Daily reports, manifest, BOLs, IPTs, shipping lists, and weekly reports while adhering to the Records Retention Specifications. Adhere to the normal work schedule and work overtime as required. Communicate quality and mechanical problems or concerns to the supervisor. Order recycled packaging material. Follow Shipping/Receiving Lift Truck Operator procedures and perform lift truck duties as needed. Report unsafe equipment, machinery, or conditions to supervision immediately. Report contamination or other off quality to supervision immediately. Correct damage cases that occur on the shift. Perform any other duties as specified by supervision.
Non-Essential Duties (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):
Assist other plant personnel as needed. Keep the work area neat, orderly, and safe.
Physical Requirements:
Able to sit, stand, or walk for twelve (12) hours. Able to lift to forty (40) pounds occasionally. Able to pass a vision test. Able to get off and on approximately 15 times per shift. Able to use a computer for 60% of the shift. Able to handle the stress of meeting goals and deadlines. Able to get on and off lift trucks 15 to 20 times per shift.
Other Requirements:
Able to recognize numbers and symbols. Be able to read and understand other duties assigned via email. Must possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Responsible for all equipment issued including hearing protection, safety glasses face shield, cut/Latex/chemical resistant gloves, sleeves, and shower cap. Dock lifts Lift trucks Follow all applicable environmental efforts and procedures for the proper disposal of used materials.
Work Shift
12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts PM, days change only
