Job Summary


The **Shipping Receiving Clerk**


stacks and arranges product and packed containers into crates, boxes, and cartons according to instructions or standard documentation.


Applies wrapping, labels, and identification as required.


Follows all required safety procedures.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
  • Organize distribution and shipping of merchandise: Make necessary verifications against documents, prepare the merchandise, move merchandise to the appropriate area, and handle customer pick-ups
  • Maintain safe and clean working area
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for transport
  • Ensure products are properly packed and labeled


Minimum Qualifications


+


_Experience_ : 0-1 or more years of Shipping and Receiving experience


+


_Knowledge_ : Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes; Knowledge of 5S principles including the ability to apply them to the work environment; Knowledge of procedures for safely lifting and/or moving packages up to 50 pounds in weight

_Skills/Abilities_ : Detail and data orientation; Effective process evaluation and problem solving skills; Ability to multi task in a rapidly changing environment; Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal customers; Ability to accurately count and identify parts and verify with paper work; Ability to work well in a team setting and under immediate supervision

_Education/Certification_ : High School diploma or equivalent

  • :** This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations ( _ITAR_ )


Preferred Qualifications


  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience performing work according to standard work instructions


Working Conditions


  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
  • Subject to “On-call” duty
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
