Job Description

As the Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the shipping department during the evening hours, ensuring the timely and accurate shipment of products to customers. Your leadership skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality will be instrumental in maintaining efficient shipping operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Review and prioritize shipping orders based on delivery deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Enforce compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and shipping procedures.
  • Oversee the packing and labeling of products to ensure they are ready for safe transportation.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the shipping team during the 2nd shift.
  • Address and resolve shipping issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of shipped products to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth product flow and efficient loading of trucks.
  • Generate shipping documents, such as bills of lading and shipping labels, and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
  • Verify and ensure the accuracy of product quantities, specifications, and shipping addresses before dispatching.
  • Train and onboard new shipping team members, providing guidance on shipping processes and safety protocols.
