Remote Position

Requirements:

Prometheus is looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate to support a fast-paced and rapidly growing opportunity. We are executing a major IT modernization and cloud integration initiative for client applications in an Agile environment. Position will be a management role over a software testing team of 4 manual and automated testers. Position is expected to have experience developing, executing, and managing a comprehensive software testing strategy, while managing resources and dependencies within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Creates templates and plan to standardize and support QA and test activities.
  • Plan, create, execute, and automate test cases, working with business partners, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Enhance and maintain the ServiceNow's Automated Test Framework
  • Research, recommend, and implement new testing technologies and practices
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on best practices & techniques
  • Document and analyze test results and recommend corrective action.
  • Defines and establishes QA processes and procedures rooted in best practices.
  • Conduct exploratory testing and risk analysis for complex features, e.g., those that span across platforms or teams.
  • Collaborate and share information with other software QA engineers
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan
  • Test solutions in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems
  • Provide estimates, technical recommendations, and test solutions based on technical and business requirements
  • Isolate, reproduce, manage, and maintain defects and test case databases, and verify fixes.
  • Utilize JIRA to create Test Cases, track test execution, and triage defects
  • Identify opportunities to reduce testing time and effort by automating repeatable tests.
  • Support user acceptance testing conducted by business partners or end users.
  • Write test cases and map out test scenarios, design automated test scripts that are reusable and execute tests daily
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
  • Understanding different ServiceNow Modules and having first-hand experience testing different ServiceNow Modules
  • Lead and assist with Scrum Team estimation of stories and sizing of effort to include the representation of the test automation and engagement with Continuous Integration (CI) as required
  • Define and champion quality and testing best practices among development teams.
  • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management
  • Work closely with developers, professional services team and product owners to define the testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software
  • Work closely with development teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the development process.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline, or equivalent related experience
  • Experience in Quality Management Software and Processes
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects
  • Extensive experience using test case management tools
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Collaboration skills and ability to lead a team
  • Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability translate technical requirements test plans
  • Previous cloud computing experience preferred (MS Azure and ServiceNow)
  • Hands-on experience with API, functional, compatibility, acceptance/smoke testing, ad-hoc/exploratory, unit testing, regression, staging, installation, and multi-platform testing
  • 5+ years of experience leading automation testing teams including testing methodologies, tools and best practices
  • Experience designing and implementing test plans
  • Experience developing and executing end-to-end test cases supporting secure systems
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
  • Experience writing test automation scripts
  • Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of software solution being tested
  • Experience with application performance monitoring and observability tools
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience managing a software testing team in an Agile workstream
  • Strong knowledge of agile practices and experience with agile planning tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Experience with ServiceNow's Automated Test Framework

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with JavaScript, VBScript & other scripting
  • Solid experience working with different Testing Tools (UFT, Selenium & etc.)
  • Experience with migration from manual processes towards automation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
