Responsibilities
Experience and Education:
  • Monitors the assigned network, ensuring optimal function and minimal downtime.
  • May mentor other system administrators during simple to moderately complex and relative sized projects.
  • Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues within the desktop and server environment.
  • Performs system upgrades, configuration and customizations including planning and scheduling, implementation testing, and coordination.
  • Drafts checklists, processes, and support trees, and knowledge bases for help desk and other support staff.
  • Ensures networks are protected from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data by developing and monitoring security procedures or collaborating with network security staff.
  • Recommend out-of-the-box vs custom solutions for new features or product enhancements.
  • Perform user account administration, account creation and management and password resets in Active Directory.
  • Monitors and analyzes network load including traffic and utilization trends.
  • Maintain adequate knowledge of operating systems and application software used to provide a high level of support.
  • Responsible for managing the lifecycle of all ticketed problems.
  • Monitors and maintains system performance and functionality, software licensing and maintenance agreements.
  • Develop sound understanding of IT operations and related applications and IT systems as well as business related processes and procedures.
  • Create reports or template mock-ups and requirements based on enterprise reporting needs.
  • Understand business and system processes. Analyze different business metrics and conduct gap analysis and process optimization.
  • Partners with other technical teams to identify and understand systems requirements for Manage Engine Implementations.
  • Operates within, enforces, and suggests modifications and additions to desktop standards and guidelines.
  • Document all incidents and changes in IT Service Management system to meet or exceed SLA's.
Required Skills
  • 6-10 years of applicable help desk and/or desktop experience required.
  • Demonstrated expertise with either restaurant or support center technology.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex, non-routine technical issues.
  • HDI, Six Sigma, Project Management and /or other computer related certifications, a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to manage escalations and offer technical mentoring to IT support specialists.
  • Knowledge of metrics, reporting tools, and trend analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 or more years' experience in ITSM suite technologies (BSM Remedy, Manage Engine, Ivanti, Calabrio WFM, Service Now, Fresh Service, etc.).
