As our Server Administrator at Erickson Senior Living based in the Baltimore area, you will work as part of a team to design, build and maintain the shared services, systems and servers that support the IT Operations for the enterprise. Every day you will resolve Tier 2 support tickets and perform daily maintenance tasks to keep systems running well. You will be part of an on-call rotation for production support with the other members of the team. To thrive in this job, you must be able to install, configure and troubleshoot Windows server technologies and use virtualization technology to find a virtual machine, power it on and off, and manage a guest operating system. Usage or knowledge of VMware virtualization and Microsoft Server Operating Systems is beneficial for success in this position. We support many different systems and we will provide you training so you can support them too.

This job is a hybrid position that allows for virtual work with some expected onsite days.

We’re looking for a Server Administrator with experience…

  • Working in a technical support role to troubleshoot and resolve reported issues
  • Taking ownership of issues, identifying how to move forward and driving issues to resolution both independently and with a team
  • Using network storage technologies to check disk space usage, map disks, and expand disks
  • Leveraging knowledge base articles to perform support tasks and create them when one does not exist
  • Using the management portal within Office 365 to check user mailbox space and troubleshoot email issues on a desktop client
  • Setting up a user account within a federated authentication platform and troubleshoot associated issues
  • Working with server monitoring tools to perform proactive maintenance, manage alerts and triage issues

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience starting at $60000 / annually
