Scope

The SEO Specialist is a self-motivated individual that possesses analytical skills, creativity and logical thinking to reach solutions. Leveraging best practices and tools, the SEO Specialist is expected to stay on top of industry trends that will help grow SEO success for Mouser. This role analyzes data to determine the best site strategies to be implemented and will initiate and drive projects to help achieve maximum optimization results globally and in multiple search engines. The SEO Specialist will champion all things SEO, including training and awareness within the company. This position works with 3rd parties as well as internal teams.

• Create, write and maintain SEO policies and procedures
• Research, identify, and implement changes on key landing pages for organic ranking success
• Develop, maintain, and provide SEO training across multiple internal departments on how they can directly optimize copy and landing page content to strengthen organic rankings
• Identify, prioritize, initiate, and implement SEO requirements and changes at the site level including site maps, landing pages, backlinks, etc
• Develop a strategy for collaboration between SEO and SEM activities globally
• Determine proper strategy and timelines for branding and SEO approach
• Report findings of SEO industry trends, developments, algorithms, ranking factors and how they can affect our business or industry
• Review reports to identify and drive SEO initiatives and campaigns
• Determine and drive direction for targeting, assigning URLs, and metadata before creation
• Determine how and where Mouser will conduct targeted keyword research for discovery, expansion, and optimization
• Determine best strategies to ensure maximum SEO optimization opportunities
• Develop and drive a global SEO initiative in multiple Search Engines, countries, domains, currencies, and languages

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree (related field preferred)

2-5 years of SEO experience

Skills & Certifications

• Video, and Image optimization experience is a plus (but not required)
• Knowledge of basic web design and technology principles
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask
• Drives focused decisions within specific areas and is a key contributor to decisions beyond specific scope of role
• Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team
• Effective troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Uses sound judgment to identify issues and escalates when appropriate
• Strong Excel and writing skills
• Backlink and Social experience as it relates to SEO is required
• Multilingual a plus (but not required)
• Advanced experience with SEO Guidelines, tools, algorithms, and ranking factors
• Contributes to improvements in processes (technical or business) used by multiple departments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources
• Technical understanding of SEO
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints is a plus (but not required)
• Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console
