Senior User Experience Designer

Lumen's Enterprise User Experience Design & Research Team is seeking a Senior User Experience Designer with a solid foundation in UX. The Senior User Experience Designer will help create and improve B2B enterprise experiences. The Senior User Experience Designer will help reimagine and reinvent experiences to power the 4IR (Fourth Industrial Revolution) that supports the workflows and needs of our customers across the LBGUPR (learn, buy, get, use, pay, renew) journey. This position will have a tremendous opportunity to directly influence the user experience and strategy for the team/area they support.

• Be comfortable juggling multiple projects and partnering with stakeholders to set clear expectations around timelines and deliverables.
• Collaborate with UX Research to evaluate your concepts/designs
• Document deliverables to ensure inclusive design decisions are articulated properly to Development and other stakeholders
• Effectively collaborate with Product and Development partners to bring experiences to life
• Create deliverables for the team(s) you support (i.e., JTBD, UX scorecards, competitive evaluations, user flows, low fidelity wireframes, high fidelity mockups, prototypes, etc.) that solve real user problems and achieve the desired outcome(s).
• Establish, document, and validate design assumption
• Use UX expertise to design (and redesign) diverse experiences and products within the enterprise customer self-service solutions space
• Advocate for Lumen's end-users throughout the entire product development lifecycle
• Understand the importance of research, design thinking, and storytelling and how they help determine what solutions you design.

• You're able to ground stakeholders before jumping into reviewing deliverables
• You challenge your team's understanding of the problem space and/or desired outcome(s)
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• You're familiar working within an Agile team using SAFe.
• 5+ years of user centered design techniques and methodologies
• Experience with one or more of the following design tools: UXPin, Adobe XD, Balsamiq, MURAL
• You consistently consider the holistic user experience, potential states (errors, successes, dead-ends), and product overlaps in your own and others' work.
• You share work early and often and seek out constructive feedback from your manager, team stakeholders, and other designers
• You have a robust set of tactical user experience skills, a growing strategic influence and an understanding of visual/UI design
• You're comfortable driving and facilitating conversations/interviews/workshops with stakeholders to further understand the problem space you work within and the users you design for
• You have a strong understanding of design principles, including best practices for inclusive design/accessibility, mobile, and responsive web design
