Summary
Under direct supervision of the Director of Treasury, the Sr. Treasury Analyst will have ownership of and facilitate daily cash, debt, and investment management activities, including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as required. In addition, this role will support capital markets initiatives serve as a liaison between banking partners and Saia, administer banking portals and multiple T&E and other card programs.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but no limited to:
  • Develop staff and promote learning and growth opportunities within the team.
  • Act as a treasury liaison within the company and work closely with cross functional teams (such as Accounting, IT, Payroll etc) to setup new bank accounts and services and troubleshoot treasury related matters.
  • Administer Letters of Credit and Debt Compliance activities.
  • Review, approve and release ACH and wire payments with proper approval.
  • Monitor and analyze the daily cash position to cover cash commitments and coordinate and optimize short-term borrowing or investments.
  • Assist other departments (e.g., audit, accounting) with quarter-end and ad-hoc information requests as needed.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, recommend and implement solutions to strengthen operational controls and incorporate best practices.
  • Administer banking, Pcard and T&E portals and maintain positive relationships with banking and other 3rd party providers.
  • Prepare, review and maintain SOX compliance within the department, lead SOX walkthroughs and satisfy audit requirements.
  • Plan, execute and monitor daily cash management duties.
  • Perform month end close responsibilities including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate bank inquiries and payment issues.
  • Develop and maintain wallet share dashboard.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement to achieve efficiencies.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis, special projects and other related duties, as required.
  • Track debt and investment activities.
  • Adhere to current policies and procedures and recommend improvements with a focus on internal controls and efficiencies.
  • Ensuring the proper posting of cash activity to the general ledger.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess advanced Excel, Power-point, and strong project management skills.
  • Knowledge of the banking industry and technical knowledge of bank products
  • Effective problem solving and priority setting abilities.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, through both written and verbal communications.
