THMCC Stop Loss

T MHCC Stop Loss, a $1.6 Billion division within Tokio Marine HCC, leads the way in providing medical stop loss insurance sold to employers. Medical Stop Loss provides an added layer of insurance protection to employers who choose to self-fund their health benefit plans. Self-funding can incur risks from catastrophic claims, and Medical Stop Loss insurance from Tokio Marine HCC is designed to protect employers from that risk.

Based in our Kennesaw, GA office this person will report to the Development Manager. This position follows a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the Kennesaw office.

Position Summary

Under general supervision installs, configures, and maintains server operating systems, workstations, and servers in support of business processing requirements to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Ensures long-term systems operations and administration requirements are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. This is both a project delivery and operations position for both servers and desktops.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide level three support to the IT Service Center.
• Develop appropriate documentation for application deployment, configuration, and related processes.
• Responsible for planning, testing, tuning and configuration of Tokio Marine HCC server systems.
• Work with IT Risk Management and Security to reduce IT and business risk.
• Consult on and manage the appropriate setup of applications hosted through virtualized systems.
• Manage complex projects involving multiple departments or cross-functional teams.
• Design, create, install, configure, and maintain current server and desktop operating systems
• Work with IT Risk Management and Security to reduce IT and business risk.
• Identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective new or more effective technology solutions.
• Repair server and desktop hardware.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and response.
• Develop appropriate documentation for application deployment, configuration, and related processes
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and response.
• Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all networked software and associated operating systems.
• Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the current information systems.
• Identify opportunities for follow-up work or new projects.

Education, Experience & Knowledge

4-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.

Certifications (preferred) ITIL Foundation certification, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Citrix, Okta, Exagrid, VMWare, Cisco

5 Years Experience In The Following

• Knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
• Working experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Relevant and progressive professional experience working in an Enterprise environment
• Possess and have ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
• Sound working knowledge of remote access technology
• Working experience with Citrix, VMware, Dell servers, Dell Laptops, and Microsoft technologies
• Sound working knowledge of systems infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP
• Working experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Okta, SolarWinds, Microsoft SQL Server, Citrix Cloud, VDI, Exagrid, VMware, Dell servers, Dell Laptops, Dell Wyse Terminals, and Microsoft technologies both on desktop and servers
