About The Role


This role is responsible for developing accurate and timely demand forecasts, maintaining optimized inventory positions and minimizing forecast variability, along with managing finished good inventory production through our contract manufacturing sites. To succeed in this role, it is essential to have a solid understanding of the manufacturing processes, scheduling, procurement, inventory control and the S&OP process.


What You’ll Do


Demand Planning


  • Focus on accuracy of demand plan for new product launches based on accurate analysis of distribution builds and velocity/share expectations
  • Lead monthly Demand Reviews with key stakeholders, as part of S&OP process, to communicate consensus demand plan and gain alignment on critical business decisions/hot topics
  • Analyze historical sales data and prepare plans. Work cross-functionality and proactively monitor forecast error/accuracy including root cause analysis to achieve continuous improvement in demand forecast accuracy
  • Ensure consistency of forecast assumptions and models across brands
  • Ensure alignment of Demand Forecast with Sales Estimate and/or provide reconciliation and analysis of variance
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and the Commercial Planning teams to build the consensus demand plan through the S&OP process
  • Develop accurate and timely demand forecast while maintaining optimized inventory levels and minimizing forecast variability.


Supply Planning


  • Reporting/Meetings: Facilitate weekly S&OE meetings with key stakeholders to communicate risks to demand/orders vs supply positions and execute mitigation steps. Develop critical KPI’s and metrics, and tools to track and measure progress towards targets. Lead monthly Supply Reviews (as part of S&OP) to discuss brand-specific supply plans, inventory projections, and anticipated supply challenges
  • Drive discussions with Sales regarding excessively low or high inventory positions to proactively manage stock outs and write offs due to short dating
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, monitor vendor performance and provide feedback to key vendors
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across all brands.
  • Anticipate supply problems and implement resolution, manage inventory trend projections, and provide clear scheduling direction
  • Lead the supply planning team in ensuring a high level of service to Sales while minimizing additional costs
  • Monitor accuracy of PO’s– pricing and date requirements
  • Analyze weekly supply versus demand and implement any required actions
  • Inventory optimization / coverage: drive continuous improvement to overall inventory holdings, delivering both availability and asset management objectives. This includes recommending appropriate stock holding parameters to facilitate management of the flow of inventory from the co-man to our warehouse locations


Requirements


What We’re Looking For


  • CPG Industry experience
  • Experience working collaboratively and cross-functionally to identify and mitigate potential risks and to drive overall business results
  • Experience with statistics-based stock policies, with prior experience in optimizing inventory to facilitate best use of net working capital (inventory, storage cost, logistics costs)
  • Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
  • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field preferred
  • Forecasting & planning tool knowledge (Forecast Pro or similar)
  • End-to-end understanding of the supply network from component supply through to finished goods shipments to customers
  • Track record of successfully improving existing supply & demand planning processes
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, analytics, etc.)
  • 7+ years of relevant business experience within Manufacturing or Supply Chain
  • ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred)
  • APICS certification a plus

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is 110,000 – 120,000 USD/year. This position is also eligible for short- and long-term incentives. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
